Department Senior Receives Summer Research Grant.

Lorrie B. Sims, a senior in the Department of Biological Sciences, has been awarded a $4,000 Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship from the American Physiological Society. Schyler Nunziata New MS Graduate

Schyler Nunziata successfully defended her MS thesis in November. Her thesis work focused on conservation and population genetics of crawfish frogs at the northeastern extent of its distribution. Schyler’s data provide insight into the current status of populations at this range edge and will assist in conservation planning for the species. Her thesis advisor is Dr.

Lindsay Conley New MS Graduate

Lindsay Conley successfully defended her MS thesis in November. Her thesis work included both mist net and AnaBat surveys of the bats at Lilley Cornett Woods, EKU's Appalachian Ecological Research Area in Letcher County.
