Our Programs
The Department of Biological Sciences has a wide variety of degrees and degree options. Choose the one that is right for you!
We are transitioning to a new set of degree requirements that apply to students who begin one of our degree programs or the Biology Minor in Fall 2012 or later. While we change the requirements on this page to reflect this, please be aware of the following: BIO 121, 131, and 141 will be taught in summer 2012 for the last time. The BIO 121 requirement is being replaced by a requirement to take BOTH BIO 111 (Cell and Molecular Biology) and BIO 112 (Ecology ad Evolution). BIO 131 (Botany) and 141 (Zoology), are being elevated to BIO 318 and 319, respectively. Students who began the Biology Minor or any of our BS degree programs PRIOR to fall 2012 and have not yet completed any one of these particular requirements may take BIO 111 instead of BIO 121, BIO 318 instead of BIO 131, or BIO 319 instead of BIO 141. See your BIOS advisor if you have questions.
