Congratulations to several graduate students for research funding
Congratulations to John Bourne, Kari Dupler, and Audrey McTaggart, who were recently awarded grants to support their Master’s thesis research focused on amphibians in streams and wetlands. John received a $3650 grant from the Kentucky Water Resources Research Institute to support his research of the effects of mountaintop mining on amphibian and macroinvertebrate communities. Kari received a $1200 grant from The Wetland Foundation to support her attendance at the Society of Wetland Scientists annual conference to present her research focused on wetland condition and amphibian communities in Kentucky. Audrey received a $1000 grant from the Society of Wetland Scientists for her research of amphibian communities and diseases in natural and constructed wetlands.
