Graduating Biology senior recipient of 2020 Florence Hood Minor Award
Senior Biomedical Sciences student Callie Whitus has been chosen as the recipient of the 2020 Florence Hood Minor Award. This award is given to students who are members of the Delta Zeta sorority. Whitus has served as president, among a myriad of other leadership roles, in her three years as a member of the sorority. Recipients of the award are chosen based on qualities of leadership, good academic standing, and contributions to their college, sorority chapter, and the Delta Zeta sorority as a whole.
"Leadership is a way to empower and uplift those around you," says Whitus, "You can make a positive impact as a leader, as well as inspire others to do the same."
Whitus is scheduled to graduate in December with a degree in Biomedical Sciences with a Pre-Med concentration. After graduation, she plans to attend medical school.
