Koenig is EKU's first Rhodes Scholar Finalist
Biological Sciences rising senior and all-around familiar face of the department Nick Koenig recently competed as a finalist for the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship. The Rhodes Scholarship is the oldest and most celebrated award for postgraduate international study; recipients go on to study at the University of Oxford in England with all expenses paid for several years. This year, only 32 American students were chosen as winners, and although Koenig was not selected as a winner, his participation in the final stages of the selection process is still a monumental achievement, both for Koenig and Eastern Kentucky University. Koenig is EKU's first student to ever reach the final stages of the selection process.
Congratulations to Nick!
