Professor Luke Dodd's research on bats "serving a need"
Professor Luke Dodd, who has been with the Biological Sciences department since 2014, is spearheading bat ecology research projects here at EKU, with both undergraduate and graduate students. He first became interested in bats as an undergraduate himself, and was "blown away" by how diverse bats are. His research projects currently are funded through the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services, respectively.
Says Dodd, "We need to be effective stewards of natural areas and conservationists for all types of biodiversity. I see my lab's activities as serving this need."
