Student winners in research presentations at the Kentucky Academy of Sciences meeting
Two undergraduate students in the Department of Biological Sciences won awards at this year’s annual meeting of the Kentucky Academy of Sciences, with one additional current student as a co-authors. Be sure to congratulate them on a job well done!
Faithe Goff won second place in the Botany section for her oral presentation “Fine-scale monitoring of the federally endangered running buffalo clover (Trifolium stoloniferum Muhl. ex A. Eaton, Fabaceae) in restoration populations in Madison County, Kentucky.” This talk was co-authored by Claire Kelley and Dr. Jennifer Koslow of Eastern Kentucky University.
Earl Hollon won third place in the Microbiology section for his oral presentation, “Analysis of antibiotic resistance genes in clinical isolates of Group B Streptococci.” This talk was co-authored with Dr. Marcia Pierce of Eastern Kentucky University.
